How hard would seat swapping be?

The leather seats on the 89 TII i'm looking at buying are pretty cracked up. I was just wondering if i went to a junkyard and found some decent seat replacements that looked better if they were roughly the same size? What kind of things would I have to do to make sure they were safe and all?

as long as they will bolt in firmly you should be safe. if they dont, you could always weld them but that may be a little extreame
