I can give you one if you pay shipping. S4 right?
I'm not sure though if it works since I got it from a junkyard and didn't test it.
Can one tell me how to test it using a HOM or something meteR?

If it works, but your VOM shows non-linear values as you press in the plunger, you can spray some contact cleaner in it, work the plunger a few times and blow it out. Home Depot and Radio Shack both have contact cleaner.

I am hoping that is what is causing my irratic idle problems. What is the actual "order", if it exists, when adjusting the idle using the TPS, BAC, and A/F screw?

A good buddy of mine that builds race spec RX7's told me that you can replace the TPS w/ any other TPS. ALL the sensor are the same EXCEPT For the brakets they sit on. The tabs can be pushed, which can be popped out. Then do the same with another TPS. For example, if you have an S5 you can use one S4 tps then do the harness switch by popping out the ends of the wires, and attaching them to your connector.
That's it....you must test them first to find a good one.
Good luck.

I've tried all 3 methods of setting the TPS, ohmeter, voltage, and lights. The lights are the easiest, and it works the best.. and thats what you are supposed to do according to the FSM. But, you can't check to see if it is bad unless you use the ohmeter.

Jimmmyv13.....per the 87 manual you adjust the idle on your turbo by inserting the initial set coupler and adjusting your bac's screw. Prior to that I'd check the timing. But then again, don't set the timing if your idle is straying above approx 1000rpm because the ECU will start advancing the timing around that figure.
Never seen a jamnut on a tps. Ever. Sounds like a one off.

ANd the black wire from your coil SHOULD be loose, there is also one in the leading coil...
Its a Tach signal for the factory timing light!
