i just took mine off a while ago because im getting a paint job this weekend, and they are a bitch to get out..the reason for this is the access hole on the underside of the hatch is off center. there is a metal clip that has two small arms that pop out when you put the washer into the hatch, so these need to be pressed inwards toward the body of the washer so you can pull the nozzel out..picture this..before the washer is installed the the washer looks like a straight plastic cylinder and the clips would make a Y shape, when you pop it in the two tips of the Y catch on the metal of the hatch, you must press these in from the back side to remove it..
