How do I quickly block off S4 Tii OMP?
if the OMP on a s4 tii fails, how can I quickly block it off TEMPORARILY (as in long enough to dump some oil in and get home) with nothing but a socket set?

it's a theory I have LoL... but if i block it off magically, I figure there's no possible way too much oil can get into the engine (when cars smoke... tends to mean they are burning oil...), plus I'll premix, got almost a full tank of gas.
In that case, where do you guys find OMP block off plates? Not driving it for a couple days is okay i guess, got other cars to drive... I just made my own for my NA...

Yeah, could be a bad oil seal on the rotor. I know thats not what you want to hear....
If its a turbo, the oil could be coming from the turbocharger.

if the pump fails then it should starve the engine for oil not supply too much, if the vacuum hose comes off of the injectors then it can cause too much oil to be injected but under boost it would starve again because of the positive pressure in the intake chamber and cause oil to be sent out the vacuum hose connector if the valve has failed.
you can simply put bolts where the injectors used to sit, that is what i did with mine and it seems to be holding up just fine. you can make your own block off plate by getting some thick aluminum bar plate at a hardware store and cutting it with a dremel and drilling the locating holes and sealing it to the cover with silicone. simple solution is to put regular bolts in the OMP where the banjo bolts were to block the OMP oil flow, i pulled mine off completely because it was having sealing problems.
but to tell the truth, i don't think the OMP system is your problem.

the PCV system could have a problem and overpressurizing and blowing the oil into the intake, the cold side oil seal on the turbo could be effed or lastly the oil seal o-rings in the engine cracked and are leaking internally.
could possibly be the oil injectors but that is the last thing i would suspect.

The banjo bolts that feed the oil to the injectors are the bolts I'm talking about. If they are NOT banjo bolts.......and the fitting on the end of the four lines is still attached with the bolts......what is there to leak?
Glad you brought up the *vacuum*leak. For people who remove the oil injectors and put a bolt in place of them, you've just lost part of your bypass air for idle when you dumped the oil injectors Spider and capped that source of filtered air from the area prior to the throttle plates. Congrats.

you mean the turbo could be leaking into the exhaust? that would suck... But with no power stroke, it would be a darker smoke wouldn't it? This is white, like it's burning oil...

****the vacuum hose comes off of the injectors then it can cause too much oil to ****
No. Thats not a Vacuum line. That is a source of filtered air that comes from infront of the throttle plates. If they fall off, the only result will be the air that is being sucked into the rotors on the intake stroke....won't be filtered air.
There's a free download of the fsm on the web. URL is on this site.

thanks Hailers, i know it well. dunno if you are trying to be a jackass or what...
the air is bypassed and taken in during the intake cycle, this amount of vacuum is miniscule and can be compensated for easily if it even needs to be. blocking off the ports completely will mean no unfiltered air will enter the engine.

so hailers do you think it's PCV or something like that or some OMP related problem? Can't work on the car right here right now so i'm trying to get all plausable problems taken care of so i can just fix it...
