same as any other resolder,

Unplug and remove it from the drivers kick panel.

dis-assemble it, with a solder sucker or solder braid and a solder iron remove all the existing solder from were the connectors meet the circuit boards, while being careful not to overheat and damage the circuit boards.

Then resolder all the joints. re- assemble. re-install.

Do you have any idea how to use a solder iron? Sounds like the answer is no. In that case, find a buddy who does.

To remove the CPU, I forget in your cars because you guys have a lot of stuff that I don't have, in the way. But down near the fuse panel under the dash, you may need to remove a plastic cover to get at the CPU. It's held on by one or two nuts, I forget, it's sorta rectangular, black plastic, with several wiring bundles plugged in. Remove the wiring, remove the nuts, and remove the CPU. From there, do searches on CPU resoldering for more info.

You really need a service manual too.

Check the 2nd gen RX-7 faq thats online everywhere if you search for it.

Doesn't everyone have electronics as a shop class back in 7th or 8th grade? That you learn how to solder in. Make a little crystal radio?

Or metal shop?

Thought that was pretty common, but maybe it was just a CA thing.

I went to school in CA, and I took wood shop, not electronics or metal shop. Either or.

Although I can use a soldering iron, I'm no expert.
