How Can you Afford your FC?

"Can't really afford it, drive it anyway."
I drive a bus during the school year & am doing IT work this summer (and rebuilding my engine). Replacement parts galore, because everything was chewed up.
So far I have $4500-ish in the car, still trying to pay for it.
