That's because it is. The S5 TB will bolt straight on, and the S4 OMP linkage will easily fit onto it if needed. Everything will work.

Trying to use an S5 dual-TPS on an S4 TB won't work (even if you managed to mount it) because there's no cam on the throttle shaft to operate the full-range TPS. There's nothing there to actually push the plunger in.

That might be an interesting experiment. It's a simple D-shaft unit that slides over the end of the throttle shaft. You'd need a simple support bracket just like the way Haltech TPS's are mounted. I don't think you can keep the OMP linage when you do this though.

It's funny, as I reread this thread, I have realized the advantage of the S5 TB - and TB only. In my mind I had thought that I'd have to replace the whole S4 TB, dynamic chamber and runners, not just the actual B its self. Realizing this, I can see why it is so much easier to put the whole TB on instead.

If I can pick up an S5 TB with TPS and simply bolt it op to the intake instead of the S4 unit - it would be much easier.

After I do that and attach the OMP, will I have to recalibrate it, or should it be pretty much "plug and play"?

im not sure about this but i think that the plunger on the narrow range s5 tps has a different amount of travel than the s4, you might want to take that into consideration because it would change the throttle reading. I mite be wrong though

Granted, but it's the stock ECU that's in question. ie will the stock ECU get the same narrow range signal with the S5 TB and narrow range half or the S5 TPS as is was getting with the S4 TB and S4 TPS?
