How Can I Get Faster Of The Line !!
#26
4500 is a good launch rpm for the non turbo... Mine doesn't spin the tires that much. (88 GXL, gt performer radials) I don't know how good I am at launching though. I beat a new Dodge caravan once by doing a granny launch (ease out of the clutch at 2500). I passed him while scratching in second gear... That isn't much though, he was slow. (he was spinning the tires too)

non turbos have no low end. I got beat by my bros saturn sL1 and takeoff. Caught up in third. So dont feel bad not the only one here. A lighter flywheel will help alot though
LEARN TO DRIVE!!! Period.
No other excuses, I got a modded t2, and an s4.
My s4 walks Sl1's all day anyday, walks Preludes etc. nP.
just a bunch of NubZ
Learn to drive, lose 50 pounds and move out of Nebraska

NA's arnt very fast... build it to cruise in or toss around a road course. Drag racing.... get a rwd V8 anyone wanting to drag fwd enjoys a self defeating process. (wieght transfers to the rear when launching out of the hole...fwd drives the front wheels, wieght comes off the front wheels.....)i know this has been hashed over and over so please dont flame me for that one

I used to launch my vert at like 6500 to 7000 and it would get off the line real nice. All it had was catback and intake. That was before the turbo swap though. 3000-4000 and it would bogg real bad.

Taurus 0-60: a little under 9 seconds.
s4 N/A 0-60: a little under 8 seconds.
Fix your car and/or learn to drive. A couple seconds of hesitation and/or stuff in poor condition could have made the difference.
After that: flywheel, weight reduction, and all the horsepower items of course. The s5's VDI doesn't add much power but it'll help down low.
