Hot start issues GONE!!! haha, (fuel cut switch)
I'm soo excited about this new 'mod' that I had to let the world know, lol.
I decided to do the fuel pump cut-off switch, because it's getting unbelievably annoying having to pop the hood, remove the EGI fuse, disconnect the CAS plug, get back in my car, hold the gas pedal down and cranking for 15 or so seconds... Which is way ghetto, because everyone's looking at you thinking that you're car's a POS. THEN, you've gotta get back out, plug in the stuff you disconnected, shut the hood before HOPING that you cranked enough to sufficiently unflood the car...
When I decided that I had to do this, I honestly thought I was going to have to tap into a wire all the way back at my fuel pump, run it up to the front of the car and wire in a switch (which I've never done before). I had no idea what wire I had to tap into and had no idea whether or not it would work.
Anyways, I did a little search and came up with a write-up that another forum member posted (thank you).

Turns out that this 'mod' was SUPER EASY. It took about 15 minutes of stripping a few wires, running a few lines, using a little bit of electrical tape, and screwing in the switch's "holder" where I wanted it.
IF ANYONE HAS HOT-START ISSUES
$3 FOR A SWITCH
SPARE WIRE
AND 15 MINUTES
DO THIS!!!

Wow... With how common this was a few years ago, I didn't realize it had disappeared, lol!
What in the world did you ever unplug your CAS for!? The EGI fuse basically makes the CAS useless anyway!

Are there any negative consequences to using a fuel cut switch?
The reason for me posting was to inform any n00bs out there that a fellow n00b was sucessful at getting rid of a major annoyance.

lol
EGI cuts fuel, CAS cuts spark (made sense to me)
Either way, hopefully with this new switch I'll never have to mess around with pulling the EGI fuse OR the CAS again, lol.

ahh.
To clear a couple things up: My motor is freshly rebuilt using 60k mi. housings and rotors. I have 2400mi. on new Atkins seals and springs.
My injectors were cleaned, rebuilt and tested by witchhunter performance before I installed the rebuild. They also have 2400mi. on them.
Good tip unplugging by the steering collumn. Alas, I will probably never use this method since the switch is now installed.
Forum grandpa's: I have only been on this board for a little over a year, so a lot of these little things are still new to me.
