Hot Start / Grounding Question
Here's the situation, I recently had a friend install an HKS FCD. After the install I had hot start / flooding problems. The needle on the boost gauge would go straight up and I experienced some hesitation at 3600 rpms.
So I removed the FCD, changed spark plugs and did an oil change to see if this would clear up the hot start problems. Nope, not even close.
I've been doing some research and typically the source of hot start problems are bad compression and leaking injectors. However I also read a mention of poor grounds. I had the FCD wired in at the ECU. So I am beginning to think poor grounds as a result of the FCD being wired at the ECU is the culprit. Could someone shed some light on this since my knowledge on poor grounds is rather lacking?

I've just been told to, Take off the Upper Intake Manifold(UIM) and check the Oring ground on the rear rotor housing, Clean it up, and run a wire from the negative lead of the battery to it.
good lck, and make sure your boost/pressure sensor isnt grounded to the chassis.

my advice is to take your ECU out, open it up and look for bad solder joints. When you start wiggilin the harness plugs around on a 15 year old car.. bad things can happen.
