hold light flashing

hold light flashing
I have a 1990 rx7 auto trans hold light flashing on dash will not shift into overdrive not the button on shifter tried that.

just to let you know those transmissions are **** and only bring problems, before i did my auto-manual swap i wasnt mechanically inclined.
Now i am.ha

It's flashing an error code. Check the FSM.
