i've got hks full exhuast but on my turbo and that thing is nice!!! Sounds really good. Only problem is mine is old and I can't afford new hks mufflers so I'm going to mess it up and get a pair off of ebay.

The N1 is DEEP sounding - deep bass rumble. Zero weedwhacker sound or buzz, just a rumble at idle and a ROAR when you step on it.

I've also heard the GT series on an NA with the Bonez downpipe/presilencer - that's loud . A buddy of mine got the GT for his turbo project, and slapped it on his '86 GXL to have fun with. Drove it over to the house, and I laid down behind the car to look at the exhaust under the car. You could feel the exhaust tone deep in your chest - it was nuts!

Anyhow, the best deal with the N1 is the silencer. When it's time for a long car trip, just pop in the silencer, and ALL the drone and loudness goes away. Cruise in peace, then pop it out when you get there.

The N1 also out-performs the HKS 50mm bigtime, especially on the '89-91 NA's. We swapped from one to the other on a buddy's car, and it makes a noticeable difference, especially on the top end.

Again, I'm talking about the pre-made bolt on cat back from Apexi - someone homegrown welding muffler cans on, I can't vouch for . At one time or another there was about 5-10 RX-7's with N1's and N1 GT series running around Pensacola, and I've seen those systems with every combo you can think of. They never fail to disappoint.

My friend has an N1 on his Ecplise and it sounds beautiful. Oh yeah and I totally forgot about bonez. I looked at them when I got my first gen.

I'm just gonna go ahead and order as many catalogs as I can from all these companies- Apex'i, Bonez, HKS...etc.

I want to find out which has absolute best flow and least resistance.
