Ones acidic and one is caustic. They don't mix. When they are mixed, they 'cancel' each others corrosion protection. Acid+base+heat = salt and water---learned that in 6th grade chemistry. This is a simple explanation and why some people who switch complain about instant corrosion and cooling issues. Its because they didn't flush completely and frequently. There is no proof other than personal experience as a mechanic. I have converted numerous cars and none have experience coolant related failures. Some people says that orange will eat your seals/waterpump housings.... but I don't have any seals to soak in the orange to prove them wrong.
Most people are already experiencing cooling problems when they decide to do a flush and then try to blame the coolant instead of their own ignorance and lack of maintenance.
It is almost impossible to flush 100% of anything out. So, it is best to stick with one and change yearly. It also helps to use distilled water which is mineral/salt free and usually deionized.
