High oil pressure?

High oil pressure?
I run a 89 auto vert and for the past few days my pressure reads around 110 or more when driving im driving, if i put it in neutral it drops down between 60 and 110. i searched a post and came up with this https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=oil+pressure and i was wondering how to check and make sure that this is what it is. It seems to run just fine and everything else reads normal.

Good way to find out:
Go buy a mechanical gauge from a hardware store that reads 0 to 120 psi.
Remove the oil pressure sender on the driver rear on the block (right below the filter.)
Using whatever adapters you need (depending on the guage threads) install the mechanical guage in place of the sender and start the engine. The mechanical guage will not lie to you. Rev the engine up and watch the guage to make sure that the oil pressure increases like it should. If the oil pressure is normal, I would just live with the guage you have (after all, it isn't as important what the oil pressure is as it is that you HAVE oil pressure.)
If you are really worried about it, experiment with connnecting a variety of resistors from radio shack in the 1k range between the sender and the wire that goes to it until you get the guage to be accurate with what you have just determined the oil pressure to be. After you find the right resistor, solder it into the wire and put shrink wrap over it. (I have done this myself on multiple occasions to correct inaccurate sensors.)
(Series resistance shims the guage down, parallel resistance shims the guage up.)
(Obviously you can't start the engine without either the sender or the guage in the block.)
