Hey Peter, are you going to have that TPS adjusted for me?

Hope you enjoyed the Office Space reference.

Anyway, I just bought a T2 yesterday. It idles at about 1500 rpm, and then does a little surging to 1700. From my previous knowledge of T2s and the search button, it seems this is due to the TPS.

Then, when I restart it when warm, it idles at 3000, and won't go down until you drive it a bit, then does the same 1500-1700 surging.

Are these related issues, or do I have two problems?

Eh,

Sounds more like a small vacuum leak or your throttle stops are out of adjustment. TPS is more of an idle hunt issue.

Sounds good.

In my experience though the main reason guys crank the throttle stops out to raise the idle is to get away from the "messy" hunting range where the bad/mis-adjusted TPS was causing issues....bumping it to 1500ish smooths it out......a bit...

but lower the idle down with the screws and see how it is. It may or may not need the TPS adjusted after that.....

This sounds like 2 problems. Check the vac lines and definitely take some TPS readings. I'm sure there both causing the problems.
