Arrow Hey , i really need help ,please car wont start

hey guys. my second gen wont start. i took out the spark plugs and only the top ones (trailing)were wet with a gasoline smell and a lil oil on them .then i tried to put them back on after cleaning them and it almost started but it turned off right away. i checked the plugs again and they wer wet again. ive tried this about 8 time and no luck.please anyone help. the only thing ive done to the car is take out all 3 catalytic converters and run a straight back exust. the guy who did it kept the shiny long skinny pipe that use to go into the cat but he cut it so it can stay in the hose where it gose along with a small vacum hose that hooks up to it. i dont know if that has to do with it but i was running the car fine the next day with no problems my friend says that it might be my fuel reggulator but iam not sure. so if any1 can please help i would really appreaciate it. thanks.

Check to see that your ECU is gettting voltage from the injectors. Get the FSM out, see which wires from the ECU are to your injectors (from the pins) Specifically your primaries... with the key to the ON position, you should see around 12 volts to each injector at the ECU, if you dont see that then there is your problem. This same thing happened to me and it turned out that me primary injector clips had corroded off the injectors.

And why would my car not turn on after an hour that i had used it . And why do my spark plugs get wet each time iam about to turn it on. It cranks but it wont spark cuz they get wet each time i crank it.

This has happened to me before. It gets crazy flooded so I do the fuse pull out and crank trick to un flood or on my s5 I crank the car on WOT for about 10 seconds. Then I go again. It usually makes an effort and it starts but tries to die so what I do is that as soon as it starts I rev it and dont let it die. After a while it will stay on and clear all the excess gas. It should run weird while is clearing everything but then it should be ok.

Like said above it is probably flooded. If that's not it, check to see that you have spark. If you've got spark and it's not flooded, then check the state of your injectors. FSM means Factory Service Manual.

1.) Remove all spark plugs out again, detach or unclip the relay underneath the steering wheel. Crank the engine for around 10seconds.

2.) Install the plugs and relay back.

3.) Start the engine

4.)

If you're plugs are wet, the spark plug isn't going to fire, they're fouled. You need to dry em off first. The "relay" he's talking about is the EGI fuse located in the engine bay.

Sorry, just re-read your last post...... yes, no spark perhaps, so test and see. pull em out one at a time, crank it while holding the plug close to something metal (i.e. something that won't get fried if it is shocked) and see if there is spark on each one.

Ok well in that case ill just buy a spark plug tester thing that my friend told me about and test each cable to see if its sending spark . Until then ill keep posted to see if that did it or not .

Ok guys well it turns out that my spark plug cable and igniter are in good condition.so i called my brother in law and told him wat was going on and he said to disconect my fuel pump and to try and turn the car on without it. Well so wat i did was waste all the fuel that was in the engine and then i cleaned the spark plugs then i connected the fuel pump and the car turned right on. So i guess it has to be my fuel regulator. Wat do think?

ok, first read this over, it is a very good discription on FC engine flooding and how to clear a flood out http://rx7.com/techarticles_unfloodFC.html

also since your car was flooded you should replace your spark plugs and change your oil.

this is a good discription on how to do a compression test (might as well do it while you are changing out those plugs!). http://rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen...ion_check.html

hope this helps!
kyle.
