nope, not yet, from what i hear i need a mazda specific one. and the code for the ECU was a code 13. code 13 is apparently the intake manifold pressure sensor, but when i went to mazda they didnt know what i was talking about, and the closest thing they could find was a boost sensor(my car is NA) and the clerk said that mazda calls things wierd names a lot so the boost sensor is even for boost but he didnt know exactly what it was. we're changing the plugs right now so we'll see where that gets me

good luck! do u have the spark plug wires going to the correct location? It can easily get confused/swapped around. I'd check that. Its possible the car will run with them mismatched, so this is slightly less likely than the fuel problem you described.....just guessing here.

yea we found the pressure sensor its the small little black box mounted on the pass side shock tower. mazda wants 400 for it so junkyarding i go i guess.
on the bright side we got the motor to turn over and had it running for a good five mins. then my buddy decides to jump in, with the coolant hose that runs into the engine (the big one) off so coolant sprayed everywhere but it started up just fine. after quickly turning it off the car wouldnt start again, in fact it wouldnt even chug.
so im thinking that it was just flooded and now since coolant sprayed ALL OVER my engine bay it shorted out a plug and now it wont start because of that. we're guna keep trying the unflooding techniques and see if we can sustain the startability tomorrow.
