hesitation problems!!! Help!!!

I have an 87 TII with an 89 TII moter swap. It is the 87 wiring on the 89 moter and this is what is happening... I start the car, starts out at a smooth 1300rpm, (havent adjusted idle yet) Then from there it procedes to rev higher untill it is ideling at around 2300rpm. This is fine and dandy to me but then if I gently press on the pedal it will gently climb in rpm's if I press down like you would when you go to move the car it boggs down, almost like there is no spark, or fuel. then if you let up it idles again. What causes this and/or what should I check to fix this problem. The motor has about 1100 miles on it and I just put it in the car, the car has never moved with this engine. Thank you,

Justin

Sounds to me like its getting too much fuel or an ignition problem. Are you sure the plug wires are on correctly? Are the wires or plugs old?

Actually the plugs are getting old,,, probably 300-500 miles on them, and the wires are probably 10,000+ on them... they were on the motor that was in before i did my swap, they worked for that one... So I was assuming that they would work on this one.... If it is getting to much fuel how do I go about fixing that, is there a fuel regulator or somthing i should buy? does it soundlike a vacuum leak or anything to that effect??? Also does anyone know exactly how the fuel return line hooks up, the new motor doesnt have any emmissions and I hooked it up the way it made sense to me....but if anyone cares to explain it I would appreciate it!!!
