hesitation at first, then it dies
Ok so I just rewired my fuel pump because for some reason it wasn't getting voltage. I got the car running and it ran fine for about 30 min, then I started to get a little bit of hesitation while accelerating from a stop, it eventually got worse and I could not drive the car because when taking off normally with the gas pedal kept in the same place it would feel like the fuel pump was surging on and off. It continually got worse until the car couldn't even hold an idle anymore. I haven't had a chance to check ALL of the wiring connections I made while rewiring the fuel pump, but what else could cause this? One of my friends told me it may be the TPS, which I will check as soon as I have a chance, but does anybody else have any idea what it could be other than faulty connections in my rewire job or/and a maladjusted TPS?
Thanks!!
Tom

Did you pull the pump out of the tank? If you did you might want to pull it again & check the pump inlet filter- for some reason after they're exposed to air they like to clog. Sounds more like fuel than TPS, and a clogged filter will progressively get worse, much like you're describing...

Naw, I didn't pull the pump out of the tank when I rewired it. It would take some nasty **** in the tank all of a sudden to go from a clean filter to an almost completely clogged one in a matter of minutes. When I stepped on the gas it was more like surging and it was in a specific rhythm
