Tennis, anyone
i can't even imagine why somebody would rig the ignition in such a way. the door panels are easy enough to replace. it's no wonder there aren't more warning lights, lite. the wiring must be a mess. i don't know about that coolant leak. good luck, that poor car.

i have extra panels laying around, just that its for manual windows and such. i'll see what else i can do to clean it up then tackle interior later. most will be stripped for the time being. only i will be using the car when it runs so no point for an interior (at this moment anyway).

so i got a chance to check out the car again, didn't take anything off but just check.
being relatively new to the turboII and bad angle, i didn't know what the pipe leading into the motor right above the turbo was so from just feeling it and checking in the haynes manual, im assuming it is the water hose and water pipe. i think this is the cause of the coolant leaking onto the turbo. if the gasket was bad, this can cause such a leak right? the leaking starts when the engine is warm so im assuming that when its warm and pressure is built up, it comes out. drip drip drip. i hope thats the only thing.
also, i think i need to change the turbo gasket. if i do, would i just get that gasket or do i need the other ones too (intake ones). will they be ok for reuse. i thinking i might have to since its old.

yick! that thing needs resto bad! don't even think about stealing parts off my car for it....
the coolant tube above the turbo is the coolant feed tube, it has a gasket where it mates to the intake manifold and a copper or aluminum washer where it bolts to the turbo, looking at the car i would assume the banjo bolt is the culprit and it just needs a new sealing washer. wish i would have known you needed a T2 hood, i saw one at the Rancho pick-n-pull recycler(may still even be there but doubtful). unfortunately i didn't have room in my truck to get it back up here anyhow though.
btw, i pulled my motor half apart, i will finish pulling it on saturday morning and tear it apart if you want to come over and take a look. i think i know where the trouble is though after talking to kevin and some other forum members.
edit: actually looking at the picture again it looks like it is coming from the gasket, i may have a spare, i will have to look.

alrighty, that sounds great. i have a much better idea what im suppose to do now. i'll swing by your place then, don't know when though because im still in chico but i should be in town tomorrow.
turboII hood, i just haven't been able to go pick it up. the truck's down so i can pick any parts up lately. haven't been able to borrow my friend's truck either so i will have to wait. hopefully the hood is still available to me...in dec. i haven't been to rancho for a while so i wouldn't know if they had any. what do you think they'd charge for it. $200-$250? if so, im gonna be waiting for a while to get a hood. gotta stick with the ugly one for a while i guess.

more like around $50 or so. pick n pull is cheap but the good parts get scavenged first...
i'm actually going to try and have the engine back together today and in the car but we will see. i'm kind of relying on getting this back on the road because i can't find anyone who has tires for my truck and it needs fronts bad... i have plenty of pictures and an overhaul video if you want to see how the procedure is.

aka rocket doesnt seem like people are actually helping you just talking more crap about the car.... the coolant leaks best thing to do is replace the LIM gasket and the gasket to that water line you saw coolant runs threw the LIM so it could be a gasket that is bad and is leaking or can be the water line running to the turbo if i were you go to your local discount and some silicone and put some around the water line to the turbo for the LIM go to your local mazda dealer and buy one from them or you could do what i did was make one myself buy cutting it out of gasket material up to you if anything just pm me if you need anything
