Help, turbo acting weird!

I have a 1988 AE turbo. Neways, when i drive normally the car drives fine..but when the turbo is supposed to kick in the car starts to jerk back and forth and the turbo doesnt seem like its working. Boost gauge is also showing little to no boost. Please help!

Sounds like you have a pretty big vacuum/boost leak somewhere.

and its not 3800 hesitation, does anyone else have any ideas??

When I had that problem, it turned out to be a vac leak.

check all hoses going to turbo and to the throttle body.. does it idel well?

Well, what had happened, was a vacuum cap had blown off. When I was driving regular, it didnt make much of a difference. Once I boosted, I heard a whoosh of air, and it started bucking.
