HELP.... TPS ....Timing ..... or vac leak
OK i have a rebuild S5 TII with a half bridge. I'm running ( TRYING ) on the stock ecu , with a HKS super AFR. And for the break in period I'm turbo less , running the N/A exhaust. I have about 2 hours run time. I had a smooth idle at 2k RPMS , with no hesitations or hunting of the rpms. I tried to drive and found it to have nothing for go , it was running very rich. Also after warm up the back of the cat just before the Y pipe would start to glow red. So i checked the TPS for ohms at the connector and it was 1.57. I adjusted it down to 1 and it opens up to 3.99 , now when i run it , the idle is hunting ( surging ) up and down about 50 rpms , and still cant get the idle down. i have checked compresssion and had 60 on both. The timing i sat by eye cuz i cant get it down on the idle yet , it is about in the middle of the CAS. Can i set the timing with a light just as it cranks over ? So i could really use some help ...........I have done lots of searches and read alot of great things on here.

Timing was set buy the yellow mark and the mark on the cas , the stud on the cas sits pretty close to the middle of the cas. i dont know if the cats are clogged if they were i would have thought they'd clow in frount of the cat. And yes it ran much smoother at TPS set at 1.57
