Are you people even reading what he typed! Half the **** you keep saying over and over he's already done.

A huge cloud of white smoke is bad news. Usually means that there is coolant in the combustion chamber.

gz91rx7, I think you've guessed by now what's wrong...

YES....it defintely sounds like a coolant seal....he said nothing about what it does when cranked with the cap off..boiling coolant...gas in coolant...all huge signs of coolant seals gone bye bye..i was just giving him one last thing to check...

way to jump in their evil rotor...

my coolants been boiling over toohere what ive done

replaced cap, had rad. checked to make sure no clog,
replaced hoses and thermostat. 100% fluch of coolant with new mix(ive had to replace both those cooling lines that were listed above) i also replaced same oil cooler line.

Recently i found a crack in the water pump housing so i am replacing that now and probably for good measure replace the water pump. see if this fixes the p[roblem

Try this solution

gz91rx7 if you have done all of the above like I have. Try this.

Rx-7 water seal repair w/o rebuild

I did this procedure in January and have no problems since then. This works GREAT . Try it, it should cost only $20-$30 depending on the local cost. I got all my supplies at Walmart. I also saw the same block sealant at Pepboys.

This should only be considered a temp fix. The symtoms I had were loss of coolant, overheating, hard start when cold, and because of the hard start ran on one rotor for first 15 minutes. I was not getting any spark on the front rotors. I had to replace the sparkplugs to fix this. The sparkplug electrode insulation cracked. Lucky me none of it fell into the combustion chamber.

So I have had only 2 months on this fix and no probs at all. I hope this works for you, It took me the whole day to follow the procedure. You have lots of time between cool down cycles.

Good Luck
Toan

Wow, thanks to everyone for the replies!

Marcus- I think you just hit it right on the head. I started the car with the cap off and....................about a 4" stream shot out of the filler neck! (****!)

This really sucks! I cant believe that my engine took a crap after only 13k. I just hope the housing are ok because they already have been streetported! Maybe I will go with a more agressive port this time around!

Thanks again to everyone for the replies!

Josh

That sucks, but at least you haven't been in limbo like I have.

damn man..sorry to hear that..did you do the rebuild, if not any kind of warranty from the person who did? Coolant seals shouldn't be leaking at 13k obviously, unless someting was faulty or someone did a faulty job. God luck with her man...more agressive porting sounds good!

Thanks again to everyone! This forum is amazing! Everytime it always comes through for me.

Yes I am deffinitly going to a more aggressive port! With the gas prices so high, I didnt plan on driving it that much anyway. Thank god for my integ, I never thought that I would say that!

While I have the engine out, the T4 is going to be treated to a FMIC!

Does anyone have a good link for removing my ac, ps, and abs?

Thanks,
Josh

Anyone have any other suggestions of things to do, while I have the engine out! Maybe something that you wished you would have done.

I want to take full advantage of this oppritunity. (sp)
