Help with a swap
i am swapping out my N/A engine/trans for a TII. I am doing the complete package engine/transmission. I know I can buy a custom drive shaft to fit my rear differential. Will my rear differential hold up to that? Its a 86 gxl with LSD. I am doing all the work myself and want some advice on things I should do or not do. Problems that you all ran into that I can avoid or know about in advance and know how to troubleshoot. I have done a lot of work on my car already and this is the next step for more power. thanks.
I am going to get an s5 engine... thats the one with 205 hp and 193lbft at the rear.

As a daily driver there's no problem. Like the man said above, as long as you don't rev the engine up time and time again and dump the clutch at a stand still, there will be no problem.
Been driving with a non turbo rear end for a couple of years now with no problems at all.
If your going to do burnouts time and time again.........get the turbo rear end.
