Help with Oil pressure

On my 1990 TII....
At idle, my oil pressure was around 7 on the stock oil pressure gauge.
First off, what could be doing this? I have the FD or racingbeat regulator, im not sure which though.. Is there a way to adjust the oil pressure? And what could be causing this? thanks.

Racing Beat sells two upgraded regulators, one for street and second for race application.

The FD is comparable to race only application on an FC.

Someone may have just shimmed the stock one as well.

You need to put a reliable gauge on and figure out exactly what the readings are.

I was told the FD and this racing beat one are similar. If that helps at all.

Oh and i was watching the oil pressure guage as it was idling, and it just kept going up and up and up, and then it hit 7 and the car died. So yeah.. Its not just unaccurate readings :S

Its the racing beat racing regulator. I think its around 130psi?

The FD regualtor is about a 100psi regulator. You can get that one or the comp regualtor which is around 115psi from Racing Beat.

Neither of these will effect oil pressure at idle. What do you have at 3000rpm? Does it come up to a certain level at 3000 and hold there till 7000? Does the pressure slowly fall at higher revs. Low pressure at idle could be a sign on a blown o-ring between the front iron and front cover. Or it could be a faulty sender/gauge. Get a good quality gauge on there and see what it reads at all settings and go from there.

K, well the gauge should be workin fine.....Anyway i reved and recorded. The pressure slowly builds up to around 80psi witch is a 6 or 7 on the stock guage. This is at idle or around 1500. But it builds, takes about 10 sec or so to go from 0 to 6 or 7ish. Also the car wants to die when the pressure reaches 7. It does fluctuate when i rev it, it goes up slightly, but only past 3g's. But it still doesnt go lower than 6, even at idle. All ive replaced are the feed line and drain line to the turbo. Its a -4an feed with restricter and a -10an drain. I'm gunna pull the feed and check to see if its plugged. The car has been sitting since september and was started once in febuary, and i recently didn an oil change, 2 days ago. So I have no idea what could be causing this. Plzz help if anyone has an idea.
