Help with oil cooler and lines...

Well my oil cooler lines are leaking all over the place when the engine gets oil pressure. I checked it and its not just the connections either- its the braided line itself...
Has this ever happened to anybody before? Why? I was told that the cooler and lines off of the NA were the same as the turbo II- true? So, would it be worth it to get some off of one at a junkyard or would they be just as bad as mine...
Okay the next thing is how big of a deal is it to get those lines off- what else will i have to take off to get to where it all bolts on?

Over time the rubber deteriorates from the oil, its not a big deal. In fact if you think about it, its almost been 20 years since those lines have been replaced, they've served their purpose.
If your strapped for cash, defenitly get some from a junkyard, but you should at the very least buy BRAND NEW copper crush washers from mazda for the lines to prevent leaking. Personally I think its going to be hard to find a good condition used set..
Buying new, get the SS lines from racingbeat, they're about the same price as the mazda rubber ones anyways.

yeah ive had one of mine rub threw and spring a rather large leak before, i got one from a junk yanrd and it works fine,
if u get one from a junk yard.....
it might be a good rule of thumb to flush it out first with gasoline??( i think??) and let it sit and the gas dry out of it. as if the car it was in before had a bearing failure or contaminated oil , there could be copper bits in the line and then they might contaminiate your oil and mess things up!!

The other option is to take your original lines (or some used ones) to a hydraulic shop.
Most places are competent enough to recrimp new hose to your ends properly for cheaper than a new set of lines ($120 from Corksport?) cost.

Yea, this happened to me too. I think time got the best of them!! I got mine from these guys for 75 buck, they looked almost new. http://mazdarecycling.com/

I bought a set of ss lines from mazdatrix a while back. I think they were only like 90 bucks or so. The quality of these lines are awsome. They look to last forever hopefully and i highly reccomend replacing them with these lines awosme

When I installed an FC oil cooler on my 1st gen, I used the hard lines from the FC and had a hydraulic shop make up my lines. 2500 psi hose, internally steel reinforced, one barb brazed on, total was under 50. The barb and brazing was 10. I did the disassembly and assembly of the old and new lines. The shop provided the parts, brazing and crimping.

yeah money is definitely an issue, income is slow right now. so what exacly is a hydraulic shop like where would i go cuz i do at least want it to be reliable.
