Help me Identify this exhaust, please.
So I picked this up from an importer who didn't know what it was either.
Only numbers/tag on the whole system
The cans look like the Kakimoto single system that someone had for sale on here, but the logo isn't stamped on the side. My friend said it looked like the cans from his AW11s old TRUST exhaust, but we've seen pics of the old and new TRUST exhaust for the FC and they have round cans.
The mufflers are also HUGE. They are significantly bigger than the APEX'i cans shown in pic 2.
The tubing is all mild, but the main mufflers and tips are stainless.
Anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to look up the JASMA certification #?
Thanks.

The cans kind of look like the one's on my exhaust (I never identified it either , I just assumed it was an old Racing Beat) but the tips on mine are a bit longer (same style though) and my piping is all different. Hopefully someone can identify this one, since ours probably come from the same manufacturer.

I did some googling and that "JASMA" is a tag in japan that signifies the exhaust is approved for street use and is not a brand. I couldn't find anything using that number stamped on it. Any other markings on it?

JASMA, sincere approach to the problem of environmental noise, high performance mufflers for automobiles, JASMA the standard system, to meet the main legal restrictions on vehicle and traffic law and safety standards for road transport vehicles, cars on a voluntary basis Check your local noise, KURIEITEIBU corporate organizations work to promote the automotive aftermarket muffler for high performance while considering the social environment noise.

It took some elbow grease to get it looking that good. here's what it looked like when I got it
Thanks!
Given the style of the tip (double wall with the diameter change right at the edge) I may have to take this as the best answer. I'm guessing it's what we both have, just different versions. It would be awesome to find an old HKS catalog or something to be sure. Maybe we should contact that guy.
My friend is shipping out to Japan in March. When he gets there I'm gonna have him do some searching too.
If people have more info/input, please share! I'll try to get sound clips when I get my flange leaks addressed.
I think it is an HKS, check out this guy's old exhaust (3rd pic) in this blog:

Yeah, I did a bit of digging this morning and it does appear to be an HKS. Enjoy!
I used that same header paint for my exhaust. Looks good! Be sure and bake it or it will flake off. Also, ever thought about wrapping it?

The VHT cures with the heat from the exhaust. Idle for 10 min, cool for 10 min. Idle for 20, etc. I didn't do the 30 min idle, but I did some light driving and then let it sit for a day. I'm not going to bother wrapping it. We'll see how it holds up.

That particular muffler is for the FD but strikingly similar to the cans you posted above, just with a different inlet pipe.

Looks like an updated version of the original HKS 60mm FC catback exhaust HKS use to sell. The original catback was the same muffler cans and tips and no other resonators,i.e. just y pipe going to the mufflers. It was also just aluminized mild steel ,both piping and muffler cans.

I would paint the cans too with VHT. From what I have seen and experienced, mufflers with riveted shells tend to rust out. Of course I'd also leave the tips chrome (although I painted mine with VHT).

If I knew how easy it was to reach the manifold flange, I would've just gotten the bonez pipe.
All in all, for me it was a cheap diagnostic solution (my pre-cat disintegrated and messed up my main). If you want a "good" one, I'd buy this

Yeah, Magnaflow makes mufflers that look like cats now but I can't find one for under $200.
