i can put a cd in it, it powers on and i can here music threw an extrnal speaker but not threw the car so i know its got power and the radio works.

is there a relay that if i dont have the anntenna or another plug not hooked up the speakers dont even turn on to receive a signal?

Are you using the stock speakers, or have you wired up your own?

Also, what model car do you have? Maybe it has an amp, which some had, and the amp is now dead... Just a thought.

Also, how bad did you get hit by Dennis?

So, is this an aftermarket radio, or just another RX-7 radio?

The guy I bought my car from botched the stereo so bad. It's on the lights for pete's sake! I've got to wire it up properly, so I don't need my lights on to hear my radio. And I'm going to use the original harness after I modify it. It's just so sloppy.

Good luck. I'd be working on mine too, but it's 92*, and that car is like a damn sweatbox.

I'd hope so, people don't vacation there for no reason. Are going to hook up the rear speakers too?
