help i think I cucked up as in F up

had a little bit too much fun tonight and was trying extra hard to drift my FC, now all the sudden it seems like when i'm crusing in 3d gear, and wanna slow down to shift into second gear, it wont go second at all, then i decided okay maybe i'll throw it back into neutrual, put clutch in, and try second gear again, and then it'll go in that gear but real rough and hard....

is my clutch gonna go, did i mess my transmission up? guys what ya think I should do? just let it sit for the night and check it again in the morning?

It wouldn't be the clutch that let's you into 2nd. But you can try again tomorrow and see if it lets you. Or go around the block and see if you can drive it normally.

Not being able to shift into 2nd but all the other gears, make it seems like the the transmission than the clutch.

Sounds like the 3rd to 2nd synchro... it's kind of a common thing to be a little weak by this age in our cars (I know that mine is if I'm not careful at the track.) Make sure you put some redline fluid in and try to be very rhythmic in your shifting and rev matching --- if you double clutch nicely, it shouldn't matter if that synchro has anything left.

hate to say it but he is right. if your tight on money get another used trans frome someon and hope it doesnt have the same problem as yours. the n/a trans are kinda week if your trying to drift/race. get it rebuilt if you have the money, its alot of money but worth it considering the newest trans you could get is pushing 20 years old.

Or, since you like to have "too much fun" with your tranny, consider upgrading to the stronger TII tranny. Same R&R labor, will withstand your fun factor much better, but will need to replace the clutch and drive shaft.

TII drive shaft if you're also going to swap in a TII diff and half shafts. Otherwise, you'll need a conversion type driveshaft like Mazdatrix sells.

could you do us a favor and change your signature? its pretty big. make it smaller.

Also, a fluid change wont save the tranny that much, consider it toast. most likely the synchros as mentioned.
