I just did a search on google for the bnr stage 2 turbo and on rx7store.net it's 760 bucks. So there you go.

Oh and as for your engine blowing up if you don't do every single one of those mods, I highly doubt that. I have a full 3" exhaust. 3" RB downpipe with 3" Magnaflow Highflow Cat and 3" piping leading to 3" Apexi N1 muffler. I bought the RB fuel cut controller to prevent rear rotor fuel cutoff and that was it. I've been running my FC for about a year now as my daily driver and my engine hasn't blown up. Then again maybe because it's not straight through piping it could be why it hasn't.

I have my turbo off to port it. I took it to a machine shop to see if they would port it since I do not have all of the tools I need. Well they told me $200 cause they have to make a base to place it on before it goes into their huge milling machine and no other shops around want to even touch it with a 10ft stick. So needless to say, I'll be doing it myself.

What is a good size to port the wastegate to? I've seen sizes as big as 40MM which is pretty nice, but what is a good size to make it? Has anyone used a large bit and drill press to enlarge the hole or is the grinding stone the method of choice? I have a drill press and can get a drill bit depending on how bit the hole needs to be.

About a month ago I was about to tag the car and make it my driver, but I had an epiphony and realized that a big TID and RevII exhaust was going to make things nasty.

I blew the engine in my turbo II with a short 3" cone filter intake, 3" single exit ssautochrome straight-through exhaust, and nothing else was perfomance related. This was very stupid of me, I had the RB fuel-cut defense, and a FD fuel pump come in the mail 2 days after I blew it. I was driving irresponsibly, and my boost sensor vacuum tube must have come unhooked as it didn't have fuel cut at all. But it took a lot to blow it up, I was trying to top out the speed....very unfortunately though, I would never drive that stupidly today and i'm glad nothing bad happened to me in my stupid behavior on certain streets (i would keep it on the track now, if I had something race worthy. Anyhow, I think porting the wastegate like others have suggested and you've enacted upon now is the way to go, I think you should see how you like the power after these mods before considering a bnr upgrade...I know mine was as fast as I would have ever wanted it (too bad I blew it). And then to top off my stupid behavior I sold my blown TII (which is irreplacable considering how I got it and all- $500! and very clean!). Anyhow, good luck with you ride. Maybe start 'tuning' with a higher octane fuel too, it would be less likely to lead to detonation....I know 100% ethanol is 105 octane so I imagine the E10 (10% blend of ethanol/90% gas) would increase the octane (if it's availble in your area). Also, I think you should limit the size of the wastegate, as I thought it would make it harder to fit the flapper if it's too big? and also it'd be more prone to crack in those areas (I thought?). oh yeah and Rtek 1.7. just my $.02

ECU on the way to DTI to get the 2.0 chip. I was thinking that 30mm might be a good size to start with and then I would smooth out the opening into the exhaust runner. What about recessing the flapper down farther and grinding a little off of the top of the flapper arm to get extra clearance?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I for one don't like lying to the ECU with a FCD. I think it's just asking for trouble.

Weird, boost creep seems to be a big problem with a lot of people, but i have gutted both of my cats and i have a cone filter and my boost gauge spikes at 6psi then drops down. I will be removing my mufflers this weekend to see if it will affect my boost and maybe order a hardpipe for the TID.

Stock mufflers are still pretty restrictive.

Are you running an Autometer boost gauge by any chance?
These can be off by as much as 2psi.

Else, your turbo is dying.

i'm running an equus boost gauge and an autometer afr gauge. I checked the endplay on my turbo and it was good... But i'm using 2 1/4" exhaust though, that might be the reason
