obviously my experince doesn't count than. It is obvious that you know your stuff, but it is possible that someone else might know something of value as well.

Had nothing to do with me, I didn't make any comments about insulation tape.

I was making a general statement about the forum in reply to your general statement about the forum.

I also have a lot of respect for Mark's years of experience in the auto-electric industry.

yeah I have respect for the both of you. you are both extremely knowledgeable. But in general, over the past 4 months, this forum has gone to ****. It seems to be ruled byu the opinion of a few and any opinion outside of that is flamed. But please understand, these comments a general, and in no way directed at any one individual.

I just twist the wires together, and then tape over them. but anywho, while I do do that, my stereo doesnt work. when i got my car, the guy included his old wiring harneses, so i could just hook right up to my stereo and BAM, im done. Well, not so easy......I hooke it all up, and no sound comes out my speakers. I checked to see if there was power coming out of the stereo, and there in fact is. My brother and I are totally baffled. I am looking into running wires straight to my speakers. When the stock radio was installed there was sound that came out the speakers. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help and sorry bour reviving an old thread and whatnot (or even going off topic if i did)

Andrew

yes, definetrly run new wires to each speaker. don't use any original wires, even for powering the deck.

Hey,
I'm running wires to each speaker as we speak right now. I am gonna use the original power wires though, because they work fine (at least for now). Thanks for the info.
