help with future purchase of a wideband

later on i will be needing this for my n/a turbo project and need to know a little about this. ive been reading on these and dont find very much so..., where do i buy this from, is there a certain brand ill need, i think i seen them used with a laptop, is this a fairly simple way to tune? since ill be using a safc do i just unhook the o2 pin from ecu(for closed loop reasons) and tap into my safc and wideband? if these are ignorant q's please dont flame and just help me understand better. thanks.

Innovate LM-1 is the only wideband you will EVER need, but it wont interface with the SAFC. (in fact I dont know of ANY wideband that will interface with an SAFC, because the SAFC doesnt read the 02 signal).

There is also Zeitronix. Don't know what I've heard about it though.

Look on ebay and search this forum, there are many good brands out there. Some have lots of options (datalogging, 52mm gauge displays, etc.), others are pretty straightforward. Here are a couple:

Innovate LM-1 (lots of people use this, datalogging is nice, but unit is large and bulky)
Innovate LC-1 / XD-1 (similar to LM-1 with gauge type display and no datalogging)
PLX M series (lots of different options)
Zeitronix
Tech Edge
AEM UEGO (don't really recommend this one, it only reads to 11 AFR unless datalogging)

i would go for a lc-1 wideband. It doesn't have datalogging, but you'll get everything you need for just $200.

I agree...it seems like a great unit and the price is the best I've seen.

The LC-1 does not have a display, typically used with standalone ecu's that can support a wideband input signal.
