HELP: Crashed now car is tracking

So I crashed doing a mountain run on a local mountain anyways no body damage just both the left and the right side of the rear wheels were hit about equal force against a curb and going off into the dirt. So currently when following the car from behind the *** of the car hangs to the right about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of what centered should be, the only visable thing I could see was the rear sway bar was pushed towards the driver side of the vehicle, but I hammered that back to its original position and nothing.

All hub and what ever is stock no upgrades besides comp. mounts on the diff.

Get it on an alignment rack.

I mean your thought process, of course.
The car is almost certainly fucked.

I realise its either a bent subframe of chasis but is a alignment rack the only way to check it out? Could bent sway bars cause it to track?

If the sway bar is bent, most likely something else is bent quite a bit... The rear suspension assembly is going to bend way before the chassis will, unless your car is extremely rusted.

From what you describe, I'd place money on the fact that changing the rear subframe/suspension will completely fix your problem.

btw, I've bent the contol arm and control arm link(probably a more technical name for it) before on the rear...

Edit: I wouldn't bother putting it on the alignment rack until after you fix it, being as you can physically see that its tracking, a rack is only going to verify that. So unless you have free access to a rack, I wouldn't waste the money on it until everything is fixed.

thanks, what do you mean before on the rear? like before installing them?Anyways I scored on a local junk yard whole sub frame with attatchments for 100 bucks without the diff but I dont really see using my diff as a problem.

have you put the car on a lift and really checked around?
I bought my car cheap because the original owner wacked a curb and a body shop told him the frame was bent. Turned out to be a $100 lateral link.

As you're replacing bent sections remember that thinner and longer pieces, even a little bit thinner, bend 100 times more than thicker sections. I agree that if the sway bar is bent at all then the thinner end links would be mangled as if they were a paperclip.

My own car had some accident damage causing a bent hub (or so I assume; a 4 lug to 5 lug swap fixed it). Similar to the above post the alignment shop thought the frame was bent when it was just the hub.

Thanks for the help ill look into all the stuff you guys mentioned.

I looked around pretty good and didn't see anything, but today im gonna drop the sub frame and take stuff apart and check it all out. I got another fc I can compare parts to.

It seems like your diff mount studs would have to be bent and/or the subframe being destroyed for the entire rear end to be shifted one way or the other. Some pictures of the damage would help (from the rear, and several pictures of the subframe, diff, suspension parts).

Based on your confusion about the responses in your thread up to this point, I would highly suggest that you take your car to a mechanic. I would further suggest that you drive something else on snowy/icey conditions, if your FC is your dd you may want to trade towards something more reasonable for a dd.

There's ice in arizona? Learn something everyday...

Glad you got it fixed. Some bitch ran me off the road, ended up bending a lateral link, I replaced the whole too just to be sure. Might as well install a pinion snubber and a diff mount while you're down there too.

Yea I had most mounts and bushings already replaced so I just replaced what was bent. And yup actually there is ALOT of snow and ice in arizona just got to go to the right places, where I live the only ice is pretty much where I crashed haha. Well when making a left and hitting ice unexpected at 40 it is a little supprising.
