HELP! 91 S5 hesitating under load, CEL, etc...

Ok folks, need some help here! Bought my S5 about a month ago, car is completely stock. The car has since developed a running problem. The CEL would come on, but then go off with any throttle input (throttle on, light goes off). This went on for a week or 2. Seemed to run ok though still.

After that, anytime the car was under load, it would basically hesitate, run terrible, and basically have no power and not go anywhere. Again, only under decent load. I can still ***** foot it around town...but it's not really fun or safe, either.

Then, I ran the code, found it to be the TPS. Bought a used TPS from a member here, put it in, checked the values of it, and it tested fine. Also, to be safe, we removed the intake, and changed ALL the vaccuum lines, reset the ECU (unplugged the battery, touched the poistive and neg. cables), and adj. the idle.

Now, same symptoms occur. Start the car, no CEL, but under load, runs like garbage, so again I have to ***** foot it around.

Sooo, we checked the code again. NOW, we don't get any code. It goes on and off real quick and then just stays on (the CEL stays on, while trying to read the code).

PLEASE help!

Thanks in advance!

Check fuel pressure/system - has similar problem - ended up being secondary injectors - replaced them with rebuild and problem solved.

my 89 na would rev to 8k fine but when underload it would hesitate when i tried to go past 6k my solution was that there were loose bolts on the fuel rail so the injectors werent secure. therefore air was sucked in around the injectors and the car would hesitate, but you could also have a bad fuel filter or pump or rust in the tank. write back with more details of what is going on and im sure someone will have a few ideas for you.... ROTORY FOR LIFE.

I don't know what other details there are to add. We pressurized the intake after we changed all the vaccuum lines, also replaced the injector seals. No problems, no leaks with all that. Fuel pump? Possibly...

Other thoughts? I want as much ammo as possible when I dive into this project.

Check your cats. My two primary cats were clogged and I couldn't even get over 4k or go up a hill faster than 10mph. Changed them out and it ran fine.
