Help: 90 TII Pricing
Ok .. I'm looking to buy this car .. but I'm getting a lot of "That car isn't worth that much!" from my friends/parents/fiance.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm going to buy the car anyway .. but it would help the situation if all of you could give me their HONEST opinion about how much this car could go for.
I'm purposely not posting the price they want, so you won't just say something higher to help me out .. I do want HONEST opinions.
THANKS!
------ INFO -------
Base Stuff:
1990 RX7 Turbo II
98600 miles on the chassis
14000 on the motor, which was rebuilt with new rotor housing about 4 years ago
Interior:
Sparco racing seat and harness
Sparco Ring steering wheel
HKS type II turbo timer
FJO wideband
Apexi EL boost guage
Greedy EGT guage
Greedy water temp guage
Razo shift ****
Pivot headlight controller
The car actually has the rear hatch cover (very rare)
Exterior:
Bone Stock Turbo II package
Wheels and Suspension:
Racing Hart C5's Front 17x8 Rear 17x9.5 (these are real deal 3 peice wheels) Yokohame AVS Intermediates Front 235/45 17" Rear 255/45 17"
Tockico 5-way adjustable shocks
Ground Control coilover suspension 350lbs springs front, 275lbs springs in rear Adjustable Camber Plates in front Rear Camber Adjustment Linkage
Engine:
Haltech E6K engine management (tuned by Hitman)
60-1 Turbo .75AR with custom 3" exhaust
Apexi N1 muffler
HKS manifold
HKS front mount intercooler
Griffin Aluminum Radiator
Electric Fan
TurboXS Blow Off Valve (racing model)
TurboXS Manual Boost Controller
TurboXS fuel pressuer controller with Fuel Pressuer Guage 720cc Primary Injectors 1600cc Secondary Injectors Custom Ported and Polished Throttle Body (done by BDC: Brian Cain) No AC No Power steering
The Bad:
There is an exhaust leak betweent the engine and the HKS manifold One of the studs in the block came out (this can easily be fixed when fixing the exhaust leak) The sunroof needs to be painted to match the car.
I am sure that I am forgetting some of my mods, I have got so much done to the car that I tend to forget stuff. In the cars current configuration the car dyno'ed 308 to the rear wheels at 15psi. With a larger .96AR on the turbo the car should easily hit high 300's and has plenty of fuel to do this.

so are you looking for a value? If the body, paint and motor are great its an 8-10k car, which means its a super clean car, yes?... Its totally down on power and needs to be tuned...That should run 400rwhp pretty easy with that .96...
Without seeing the car its hard

These pictures are "... still very close. Only difference is the sunroof is different, and the rear bumper right around the exhaust is burnt a bit from shooting fire. But that isn't really noticeable."

Here are some pics of the car.
It really depends, you can't price the car off KBB value etc, because market is now dictating the price and it is definatly a sellers market. I paid 5k for my bone stock S5 TII (the black car in the pics) with 77k miles on it. Some people say mods don't add to the price of the car, some people say they do, it all depends on YOU. If YOU want the car what is it worth to YOU. You can never get into these cars (or pretty much any modern car) and expect to even break even, its a loosing battle.
The outside of the car is about as clean as a S5 TII can get, a quality repaint, nice wheels, etc. I belive he would have no problem asking 8500 for it and getting near that from the right person.

The biggest thing that people are harping on is the selling price in 5+ years.
