help

my gen2 runs for about 5 sec then shuts off.. also my dummie lights and gauge cluster is not working any suggestions

check your intake, sounds like either a massive intake leak or a bad/unplugged afm (thats the box on your intake snorkle(the metal one not the plastic one if your car is stock))
as for the lights, prolly blown fuses or what not. id anything odd happen before this or did it just not start?

no i noticed that the inlet tube was not on all the way. but it just ran alittle longer then shuts off.this just happened after i took apart the intake. but before it ran good when i bought the car for 500 all i did was change the fuse and turn the battery around and it fired right up and i changed the fuses and still doesnt work.

You got a large vacuume leak. Did you check the piping on the underside of the tube to ensure you installed it?

crossed fuel lines? maybe you hooked up something wrong? get some pics and a list of mods too. but definatly get some pis up. you can you photobucket.com, its free to use. and use the 3rd picture link when you post them or we wont see em.

theres also a curved 3-4 inch long black rubber tube that connects the throddle body to the rest of the intake did you tighten that back down?

if you press the gas does it rev? if not your throddle cable isnt tight
