Heavy smoking?

Heavy smoking?
Ok. A few months ago i blew the motor on my 10AE. Instead of rebuilding it i replaced it with a stock S5 short block that has about 30k miles and used all the S4 stuff, manifolds, lines, ECU, harness everything. While the motor was out i replaced the stock clutch with an ACT kit, i replaced the turbo with an S4 hybrid, and i removed the OMP for premixing. Everything went in good the motor started up on the first crank , it idles solid at 1000 rpm, its holding 50 psi of oil presure at idle, it holding steady at 150 degrees after bieng on for about 15 minutes with some light reving of the motor, the AFR guage is reading steady at stoich even though i know thats not a good way to measure the lean and rich but its better than nothing. Ok the question is after i rev the motor and let go of the gas pedal it lets out some heavy i mean heavy like if i was trying to fumigate for mosquitos type of white smoke. Can any of you guys give me some suggestions? Just for some more info can putting more 2 cycle than supposed to cause something like this because i think i put in more than i should have. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and i can provide anymore info you might need about the project.

you'd be able to tell if it smelled 'sweet' kinda like antifreeze.
If you hold your rpms steady, do you get smoke? Or only on decel?
Have you pulled your spark plugs since this problem? Any buildup on them?

kinda sounds like coolant seals.. not good if so.. i would drive it and see if it heats up.. also try pulling the EGI fuse and removing the radiator cap.. than crank it over and if coolant comes out of the radiator you have bad seals.. with the egi fuse out it wont start.. for that test you dont wnat to start it .. thats my best suggestion.

I'd say to check your coolant to see if you have gas and oil in it, but i'm guessing you wont since you didn't smell any sweet smell in the smoke.
If your burning coolant, it means bad coolant seal. which means rebuild time.

i drove the car and it doesnt heat up. and after the drive i left it idle for about 15 mins and im in miami so its not cold here right now and it didnt heat up because i wanted to see if it was a coolant seal also. but no over heat it stays at abot 150 the whole time. Im going to try to add a couple of gallons of gas with out any 2 cycle and see if the smoking calms down a little but i dont want to drive it to much because i dont want to mess anything up or cause more damge to anything that might be already damaged.

is this a j-spec engine? if yes then plan on a rebuild, the oil seals are probably brittle and cracked. the only other possibility is the turbo, 50PSI of oil pressure at idle is a bit high, anything above 60PSI is where turbos can begin developing oil burning issues as oil is forced past the carbon seal due to excessively high oil pressure. also some turbo builders just do not build these turbos correctly and they burn oil.
if you remove the plugs and they are oily then you either premixed too heavily or have oil seal failure, if they are dry then remove the turbo - if the turbo is oily inside but the exhaust ports from the engine are dry then you have a turbo oil seal failure, bring the oil pressure below 60PSI or have a restrictor pill put in the oil feed line to the turbo and retest it, if oil pressure is below 60psi while revving the engine then the turbo was incorrectly rebuilt.

pull the plugs first and inspect them, yes it would be either too much premix or bad oil seals.
like i said about the oil pressure, you would need a restrictor pill in the oil feed line. a machine shop could modify the line to do this. some others have just cut their own gasket with a smaller inlet hole to restrict flow.

Though it involves eating dirt and ingesting poisonous antifreeze, you can just run your finger on the inside of your tailpipe (when cold, preferably, though I've done it while hot without burning myself) and just lick the fluid. Coolant will make that taste sweet.

went outside and checked the plugs. top 2 had oil residue and the bottom 2 barely any. I cleaned them off and put them back in. I added some 93 octaine with out 2 cycle. Turned it on and took it for a test drive. I started to pull out into the street and as i started to give it gas it back fired, bogged and died. I turned it back on and got it back in the drive way and lowered the Fuel presure a little. I took of again and everytime i let off the gas to shift a big puff of smoke came out of the exhaust. And i did notice a sweet smell in the smoke.

Hey my car smokes funny too (sorry to thread jack, but since this post is about smoke, maybe i can get some help too?) i have a s5 n/a, its carbbed...
its getting progressively worse, but i dont see any real symptoms of anything, and sometimes its miracilously good...
one time i started the car up after a few rainy days, i cant see behind me HUGE HUGE HUGE clouds of white smoke came out, and ever since then, the car smokes up when i start the car up (well more noticably anyway, it use to smoke up a little), as far as smell, no antifreeze smell, my radiator fluid looks a little gunky, then again it hasnt been flushed since i got the car (doing it this weekend) i started the car with cap off and nothing bubbled or puked out, and when it warms up its really good, like not a puff of anything (well little from premix). I am not loosing any oil at all, either that or something is up with my dip stick.. lol... oil pressure looks fine, water temp is always okay, anyone have any clue as to why? im gonna try to lower my premix ratios (1oz to 1 gallon right now, sometimes a hair more but its hard to monitor exact amout, i try to go for 14 oz for 14 gallons, ill try 12 for 14 next time...)
does anyone else with premix got this problem? or just me..? the huge white smoke part might be condensation in the engine?? i hope? from massive rain we got in ny a few weeks ago...? the car pulls hard (and i should warm it up more often then to just drive off... lol, i try not to pass 3.5k while its on the warm up time....
any help is appreciated, sorry jm85rx7 i cant help you out and thread jack slightly... somewhat... lol i wish i knew the answer...

I don't premix, but I have a car with dying oil rings. She does the same thing - sometimes will smoke pretty heavily in the morning, but once she warms up, there is usually no smoke unless I take her over 5k or so. Every now and then while driving normally she will spit out a good little cloud. I can tell you one thing, if I take her all the way to redline, she quite resembles 007's car - at least the smokescreen does.
I'd like to prolong the inevitable. Is there any way to slow the oil consumption? Maybe use one of those stop-leak formulas they have at the parts store?
What about using a heavier/lighter oil? Would that help any?

Lucas oil stabilizer helped alot with my Camry, without it it burned about a quart every 200 miles, with it I could go about 900 miles.
Yeah, it was pretty bad, I was also running 20w50 though.
Just open your radiator when its off, the coolant will be low and smell of gas if it's bad coolant seals.

maybe i got dying oil rings and uhh coolant seal??? hmm..... thinks i beats on the cars toos the muchies...
and yea if i go over 6k a nice puff comes out, not anything that i cant see behind, but a big puff, oH well, i guess its drive and check fluids consistently.... atleast i aint loosing much oil at all considering my oil pan seeps, and i dont loose coolant either... for 2000 miles of driving i put in less than a cup before it overflowed and spilled out.. and oil wise, havent added anything since last change.
yeah im gonna run 20-50
