Heater trouble
I have an '87 N/A. I just got my car back from the shop after getting the clutch replaced. When I got it back, the heater didn't work. The only air that came out was the air from the outside. The blower still works, but I can't change the air temp. Since it's starting to warm up, I didn't think much of it for now. A few days after that, the mode selector stopped working. Now it's stuck on the front vents. I can't select anything else, and I can't change the temp. Could it be coincidence that both motors die within days, or is it more likely that my logicon took a crap? I can still control the blower speed and the recirulating or fresh air controls.

From one newbie to another, before the flamethrowers release their safetys, do a search for "logicon". They seem to fail a lot due to cold solder joints. I pulled mine(NOT an easy job), resoldered everything and it still doesn't work. If you're freezing(early mornings, night chills) you can get heat by looking up from the drivers floor up into the dash towards the center from the steering column and disconnect the vent motor from the lever that controls the "flapper", and tie a small piece of wire onto it and pull it down manually for heat.
