heat soak solutions

im thinkin maybe a turbo blanket, heat wrap the IC piping (cold side only), i know that heat wrapping is bad for the DP because it can cause rusting of the welds and such but what else could i do (powdercoat the outside and inside right?)?
after the car is warmed up to normal temperatures i can boost 14LBS. with ease but in the matter of 20 minutes or less i can only get 10LBS.

other suggestions?

BTW i did the TB MOD so i have no coolant going to the TB..

best things you can do and basically the only things you can do to combat heat soaking is airflow through the engine bay. ducting- move air in and out as fast as possible without restriction, open your bumper ducts, move crap in the way of airflow out of the way and be sure your radiator core is not loaded with crap like dust/bugs/dirt. next is airflow out of the bay, this can be done with a reverse vented hood, most of the reverse vented hoods hardly do anything, a good vented hood will have not only a large vent for the raditor to push air out of the bay but near the back/sides to remove hot stagnant air from the rear of the engine bay as well.

aside from those the only thing you could do is pack your engine bay with cold packs from the freezer, there is nothing else you can do to prevent your engine/bay from warming up on a performance built engine.

the few added degrees of heat produced by the manifold while moving is meager compared to the heat generated by the IC and radiator which is blowing already hot air on the motor.

wrap your **** up

You'd be amazed at how much wrapping helps...I even fenagled i around my ehaust housing as opposed to buying a blanket (however the blanket would work better)

As far as rusting the downpipe goes...**** it...you're not going to have the thing rust out overnight...or in a year...or two years...by then there will be other things to worry about right?

Just don't wrap over welds as it can hold excessive heat in the weld and weaken it over time.

other than wrap ceramic coating is the only other option and thats prrrrricey.

Unless your brother-in-law will hook you up for cost
Seriously though, just wrap it. Make sure its good and tight and if it ever does rust, it'll be many, many years down the line.

i heard ceramic coating was pricey..the heat wrap isnt much though..
im in need in a new hood so maybe ill look into one..thanks...isnt someone making one as we speak (reverse vented hood)? as far as the rust or cracking of welds im not to concerned with since if you say it will last a couple of years...hell, the most expensive part to my DP is the flange bolting to the turbo...
but as far as the wrap..is there cheap stuff i should avoid and decent wrap i should look into?
i know it wont make a HUGE difference but maybe every little bit will help...
and would a turbo blanket be a waste of money or is it pretty beneficial?

appreciate the time spent helping!! please continue..
