Question Headlight Wiring Question

Ok guys, quick background....

First off, I'm terrible with electrical wiring diagrams

I got the FC2000 bumper (RE Amemiya replica), Hella 90mm lights and 4" Hella Optilux fog lights. Now, I have removed the headlight assemblies, run 3 relays (one for low beams, high beams, and fog lights), and removed the healight retractor motors.

I would like to use the switch at the headlight switch cluster that used to control the headlight retractor motors (without turning on the headlights) for independent fog light operation. Now, I thought I had accomplished this, but then when I turn on the headlights, the fog lights also come on (which I don't want).

Now, is there a wire somewhere I can clip so that turning on the headlights will not also turn on my fog lights? Or is there something on the switch itself I should de-solder?

Thanks!

try putting a relay on the headlight wire that cuts the power to the foglights when you turn the headlights on. you would wire the relay the same as a starter kill relay on a car alarm. if i am not mistaken.

From what I see, there is no wire that cuts power to the fog lights since I wired them up based on the headlight motors. The problem is getting the fog light to not turn on with the headlight given the wiring setup I stated above.

The only way to use the headlight up switch for fog lights would be to modify the switch internally.

I'll take a look at one tonight and see if I can modify it inexpensivly for you if you would like, and PM you to see if it is worth it for you.
