some may call it other things its just called that from what i know. the "Dartboard" mod is basically a divider behind the seats to separate the front from the truck in hatchbacks. From what i heard its supposed to cause less wind resistance or "capture" when you have the windows down. It's just the only ac i have is 2 down @ 80 and i thought this would be a good idea for those that dont want to race with the windows up sweating.

You have no vents or fan?

In Southern California, you are one brave soul.

Your proposal makes sense, like how convertible cars have the little air screen between the two headrests on a car. (Think Honda S2000)
See if there is any change in airflow by rigging up a cardboard wall or something along those lines.

FC 'verts have those too, but that's to deal with a totally different aerodynamic situation (and it's not to reduce drag). You can't compare the two.

I doubt this idea will do anything but block your rear vision. If you don't want to be sweating, putting the fan and controls (which weigh practically nothing compared to the weight of the car) back in would be smarter.

you need some of the Canadian fresh air vents

I heard they don't have them in the US cars

I love mine. great for hot rainy days.

So basically a wall behind the drivers and passenger seats to circulate air when you have windows down? Is that what this is ?

California doesn't have hot rainy days, problem solved.

well having driven a truck can attest that the air will be more turbulent. it keeps the cabin cooler. the FC's cabin airflow is poor, but that's partially because it's aerodynamic.

I find that opening the drivers window fully and the passenger's window halfway creates enough turbulence to keep it reasonable.

What you are suggesting would block your rear view mirror and therefore be illegal, at least in my state it would be.

Actually if we had bug deflectors over the windows we would probably be fine.
In a Porsche 944, when you remove the metal sunroof there is a black piece that is a wind deflector. Protrudes maybe 2" above the car, but makes a helluva difference. With it down and out of the stream, INTENSE turbulence in the cabin... painful to the ears. With it up, no turbulence. Airflow is a weird thing.

RX-7's also have a sunroof air deflector. They're not all that beautifully designed, as some of the plastic parts of it break. Someone probably removed yours.

Mine was broken when I got my car, but I fixed it. It makes a noticable difference in airflow.

I meant for the windows.
I don't have a sunroof in my FC.
