Arite guys, im new. (for god's sake dont flame me).
Anyway i meant to start this thread a while ago but posted it in the 1st gen forums by accident. For all of you canadian 2nd gen rx-7 owners out there, or anyone living in particularly harsh climates (preferably around toronto tho), i wanna know how much more difficult its been to take care of your 7 during the harsh winters and how you've coped with them.
Im doing a little research. Ultimately i want an fd, but for sure that car will drive me to suicide with my current skill level with car tuning (and money..or lack of it). Im here to learn. So if ur gonna start a flame war, at least include some new and wonderful ideas so i can learn stuff![Big Grin](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I had my FC through 2 winters in Colorado then my FD through 1 winter. The FC turbo actually drove pretty well in the snow considering the kind of car it was. No torque until 3k rpms is good for snow. My only complaint was that it took seemingly forever to warm up to get heat through the vents.

I have driven mine year round in Utah, Kansas and Michigan. Though in MI, I try to keep it in the garage during the winter cause the coat the roads with so much salt they are white when the snow melts. No performance problems. It always started. Get good tires on it and away you go.
