Guys with the FSP headlight air scoop tell me what you did to make it functional?

I need to know what to trim and cut to allow the air to enter the best way possible.

I just got and installed my FSP headlight fresh air scoop from Racer_13B and I trimmed some of the metal on the headlight frame and I removed the rubber strip that is on the front edge of the hood behind the headlight .

what else?

I did the same thing on my '87 and still wanted more, but never actually built anything before the car and I went our seperate ways....I was going to see if I could place a small fresh air duct behind the headlight assbly that would help direct air to my filter....I was just thinking right now that you could possibly construct one using an extra OEM fresh air duct? You know, the one that sits on top of the fan shroud and goes to the airbox.

I believe if you did some trimming, you might be able to fit it in there and have it at an angle that gets incoming air from the healdight and places it right in front of your intake filter....do you think it would work? I am trying to picture it now, I think it might work if you want to get a more direct airflow to your filter. Just a suggestion.

that is possible and I have some extra of that so it may work. I will check it out soon.

I know that it is not going to allow much in but it is better than nothing. I am going to construct some type of barrieraround the cone also to keep some of the hot air from the motor from just automatically going to the cone.

1 little step at a time but every little bit helps.

thanks

I think they are worth less , try running a sealed duct from under the rad and bring it up to the airbox

well since I do not have any instruments & such it is hard to know for sure but I am going to fab some extra duct work and see what can be dont.

I certainly dont think it will hurt anything by having it.

I didnt pay that much for it to start with and it looks OK. will be better after I get car painted- if ever...
