guages in double din
i SEARCHED, but didnt find anything....also the search function seems to be going REAL slow today...
i searched up stereo, guages, double din...and several other keywords to no avail...
anyway
i saw a thread i believe, not too long ago, about someone making a little fitting that will allow you to put gauages in the stock stereo location, while still allowing room for a single din...
personally i HATE double din stereos.......they look like poo......
so i want to put some guages down there so i can have a single din...
otherwise can you post some pics of what your single din setup looks like....maybe i can use the space for something else like a turbo timer or something.....
just looking for some ideas, but mainly looking for that thread about the gauges being in there....
thanks in advance

I got a 3 52mm gauge panel from a Saab 900 that I bought from the Saab dealer. It's a direct fit below the stereo opening. It's amazing how well it fit. I don't know the part number but if you really really need it I'll find out and get a picture.

The Saab one is black just like the surrounding areas of the stereo so it looks completely stock, except for the gauges. There was a kid peering into my interior at a parts store which I wasn't happy about and commented about the custom dash??
The gauge pod and the gauges makes it really stand out.

The after market adapter to put in a single din CD player leaves room under the cd player. I just simply mapped out on the panel where I wanted my gauges, drill a hole dead center of each spot where a gauge was going to go. Then I used a Dremel tool with a sanding wheel to open the hole up to the perfect size. Popped the gauges in, mounted them using the brackets that come with em, and then wired em in. TADA! Instant gauges.
