GSL-SE injectors on T2

Ive read up and searched on running the GSL-SE injectors on T2's as an upgrade (640cc I believe). Would they drop right in on a S4 T2 or is there any cusom fabrication involved? My friend is going to uprating his injectors on his T2 after getting the RB turbo back, are these injectors sufficient paired up to a Walbro fuel pump?

BTW-any know how much RC charges to clean injectors?

Thanks again

Yep... gotta check the date the car was made. The gsl-se are low impedance. 12A turbo are good also they are blue and they are 720cc.

If its June 87 or earlier build date, they will drop right in.

Newer than that will require new/modified injector plugs and some resistors.

about the cleaning, this place does ultrasonic cleaning/ flow testing/ computer spray analysis for the injectors for only 50 bucks for 4... cheaper than a lot of places. It also includes new o-rings and caps. I just sent mine there... just takes a day or so.

with a walbro and 680's the car will probably run like crap after 4000rpm without some type of fuel control like a S-afc.

...or anytime you go to like 3/4 throttle or more. I did this before, it will lose you power and cause a midrange stumble. You really need a way to control them, then theyre an excellent upgrade.

It could be done, but keep in mind the primaries are responsible mainly fir idle and normal driving, so fuel economy and idle quality will suffer, even if they do get tuned down with an safc. You sure as hell couldnt plug them in on a stock computer and have them work very well...

I *highly* recommend getting both secondaries and primaries. I've found that below 3800 RPM, before the secondaries come on, things get REALLY lean. IMHO that's where a lot of motors let go - full throttle 4th gear on an on-ramp, that kind of thing.

Also, you can get GSL-SE injectors, but remember these are VERY OLD injectors. I had one set cleaned, and the guy showed me the spray pattern - they were gone, just firehosing fuel. They couldn't be cleaned, they had to be pitched. The best way to go is *new* injectors - yeah, it's pricey, but if you wanna go fast, you gotta spend some money.
