just placed a 4gauge ground from my alternator=>strut tower and another from my negative batt. terminal (also replaced) to the same strut tower. let's just say my 6500rpm hesitation is gone and the car drives much better. this needs to be archived or stickied.

I saw this thread about a month ago and decided to do this.
I have a question though. Where did you guys buy your cables. And also do you connect the circle connector directly to the neg. battery terminal, cause I couldn't find a place to buy circle connectors that big?

Sorry bring back a dead thread but i have a quick question about the pressure sensor ground pic. Does the new ground wire from the strut go into the black wire with white stripes(ground) or should it go into the connector itself which leads into the pressure sensor unit?

Do you have another pic of the ECU ground, I can't make out exactly which wire(s) you have grounded (or even if you have the same picture without the yellow circle). Thanks.

This tread has hit a lot on the grounding side, but no one has mentioned doubling up the 12V+ from the alternator.
Its very easy to run a second wire from the positive post on the alternator to the positive terminal on the battery.

I just went thru a frustrating day of regrounding my car today. I couldn't figure out what was blowing my egi fuse. 4 30 amp fuses later i found out i did the pressure sensor reground wrong. I dunno what that picture shows but i cut into the wire and just connected a 10gauge wire to the black wire witht he grey stripes and grounded it onto my strut bolts. Once i removed it the car started and everything was fine. Anyone care explain what is happening ??

Lol i did look at the post sorry if i wasn't thorough in the post. Im driving an '87 TII. rewired everything except for the pressure sensor which i did but kept blowing the egi fuses. Theres no detailed instruction on here to do the pressure sensor so i assumed just adding another wire to it and grounding it else where would do it. By doing so caused the fuse to blow. So now i kept it stock and removed that wire i attached to it. Just wondering what im doing wrong. Also the car feels alot smoother never floods anymore, im so relieved.
But still have the flashy clock and the 3800 hesitation. Im really hoping after i figure out what i did wrong and get the ground set up to the press sensor right it'd cure the hesitation. So to sum it up two questoins. What am i doing wrong withthe groudning of the press sensor and now that the clock is still flashy what should i do to fix it.

oh yea wozzooom, i have a question on how u grounded your ecu on your website. When i ripped out the carpet and checked all the wirings on my car there were a few blacks and no greys. Could u provide a pic of where the ground and o2 ground go into the ecu like that brownish pic on the first page of this thread? i was a lil confused and only grounded one of the wires from that diagram. Any help will do

Damn I've been using that one for ages. It's a good written how-to. ![Frown](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Really it isn't that hard through. Download the FSM wiring diagrams and use them. The ECU wiring diagrams show which wires are the grounds and where they are on the plugs. Where all those ground wires come together you solder on an another wire and bolt it to the chassis.

Grounding the *right* boost sensor wire (not all 7s are the same):

I would suggest working with the mods to replace your current pics with clear ones b4 you sticky this - it's like trying to look through murky water.
