grinding gears
When I shift fast from 1st to 2nd (only when drag racing) I grind. Will changing my transmission oil to a full synthetic one get rid of this? thanx

No, the ratios between 1st and 2nd is too wide for WOT, redline shifts.  No amount of lubricants you throw at it is going to change anything.  You either short-shift, wait a split second for the synchros to do their job, or just live with it until you eventually break 2nd gear.

***I do not recommend this***
If you hate your trans you can speed shift into 2nd. My old TII's trans was so hashed the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts under boost could only be made with my right foot to the floor.
I still don't recommend this.

Say "one one-thousand" aloud. Where woud you say to shift? after you say the first "one?"

ALL DATA sjows something simular to a consumer complaint. It shows that the problem was more evident on a cold tranny. The recommended fix was to replace gear fluid with 80w instead of 90w.
i know its not exactly the same problem but maybe it will work.
