GREDDY type-S BOV question

The GREDDY type-S has 2 vaccuum nipples, one that you must screw in yourself and one that is already installed. The one that you screw in is larger and points straight out, while the one that came already installed is smaller and points downwards at a 45 degree angle. My question is which vaccuum port do I leave open and which do I attatch a vaccuum line to?

thanks,
Kris
