True HIDs are a round chunk of glass and don't really have a replaceable bulb, look at any new luxury car and it'll most likely have them.

Yeah, those are H4 Xeons, not "true" HIDs. Work just about as well though, I love mine.

cheap bulbs (not saying yours are) can pull too much current throught the stock wiring and catch the wire on fire.

Ill put up pics of my setup once i get my housing in. They were 40 dollars each, but I thought they were 40 for a pair so....yeah. Gotta wait a few more days. NOOB!!! I'm also using the Pias super xtreme bulbs. This gets expensive But better than 500 for hid.

Housings: http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/head7x6diamw.html
From looking at the housings they are worth the money. Soooo nice.

I've got real HID's in my FC - they ran me about $300 (shop discount hehe). My kit is a 6000K temp and I believe it's a phillips kit. Installation was very very easy - the toughest part is figuring out where to mount the ballast and ignitor but there is plenty of room and the wiring harness is generous in length.

I used the kit in conjunction with Hella offroad H4 housings and after proper aiming I was very very satisfied. I'll never go back to a halogen again, I even got a kit immediately after for my Galant VR4 daily driver. I've had Piaa Superwhites and Polarg "HID" bulbs and they don't even begin to compare.

It's been 2 years and I haven't had any problems with either kit - the only downside to the kit on the FC is that you lose the brights. This wasn't a problem on my VR4 since the bright is a seperate bulb

Ebay H4 lights-I got em too!

Losing the brights sucks, you also lose the FTP too, right? Not that many people use those either...

The blue "city" lights that come with the housings need to be spliced into the park/side marker lights, at least that's what I did. I was happy with the lighting of these cheapies, but after parking outside for a while one of them filled up with water.

I got real nice lights for my FB from rocky road 4X4 outfitters, they have a 15 degree angle cutoff to the right. It makes it easy to see anything on the right side and up ahead, but won't blind oncoming traffic. I'm getting the same ones for my 'vert, but they're about $120 for the lenses and bulbs, so I'm holding off on that until I get some other stuff done first.

Here's a pic of the cheap ebay city lights on the lamps in my 'vert. A ricer mod at best.
