Got rid of the cat. w/ unknown part, pics :) and video

Hey guys, so I started moding my RX7 now just so I can learn new things about rotaries. I bought this "straight pipe" from my friend who recently sold his RX7, I don't know what brand it is, or what to call it, but its sweet . Install took less then an hour, most of the time spent loosening the old nuts. The tools needed were 12mm socket, 17mm sockets, and 14mm wrench/socket and big breaker bars and a lot of PB Blaster. After the install the exhaust sounds a lot more raspy (spell?/stock y pipe to stock mufllers) and I have a really strong fuel smell now, so I assume its running rich and I plan to check for any vacuum leaks this week since a tune up was done on it recently (NGK plugs, wix oil filter/castrol oil, NGK plug wires, new fuel filter, KN drop in intake, new 02 sensor, new gas cap), now on to the pics:

that is a raceingbeat down pipe and pre-silencer

and yes without a cat, even the best running/tuned rotary will smell like gas in the exhaust.

I have the exact same setup. I was wondering whether it was racing beats or not, I was never quite sure, thx for clearing that up icemark

But yea, exhaust stinks to high heaven without the cat, totally normal with that setup.

i like how you ran to rev it and then ran back to cut the camera off....

with that kind of hussle your car will be happy.

im not really into the n/a rx7's but i read the people that have them love them...

You should join the dark side and put a turbo on it.

You look like Napolean Dinomite running sorry just had to state that. I like the sound , I wish I had the RB down pipe and presilencer.

are you trying to make it look like a supra? i have the same presilencer and DB, but mine goes to the RB Y-pipe then to 2 ebay mufflers. i love the sound of it, but it is loud.
